CARES – Community Assistance and Resilience for Emotional Support

With gratitude and reflection, the Mental Health Care program CARES by IDiMH Malaysia (Community Assistance and Resilience for Emotional Support) held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at PPR Lembah Subang, stands as a testament to collective achievements in emphasizing awareness and support for mental health. Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily routines and commitments, coming together to support a common important goal: mental health and well-being. Shared experiences, storytelling, and discussions within the community have a profound impact on mental health.

The day is not just about discussing individual mental health issues but also about fostering a sense of togetherness. The program began with a breakfast session for participants, followed by sharing sessions on mental health issues and coping mechanisms, as well as interactive and relaxed games with the participants. These activities created a cheerful atmosphere and fostered close relationships, reinforcing the idea that we are together in this struggle. The experiences shared, stories heard, and empathy exchanged leave a deep impression on everyone’s hearts. Every precious moment shared on Saturday strengthens the importance of understanding, compassion, and support in the journey towards better mental health.
